In-Pipe Technology® Company, Inc. announced today a new patent issued for a Modular Smart Biofeeding Device (US Patent 9,249,036).
Wood Dale, IL March 9, 2016
In-Pipe Technology announced a new patent for a self-contained dosing system to dispense microbial solutions into a wastewater treatment environment. The device contains several removable modules that provide the user with the capability of quickly and easily removing one or more of the modules without the need for replacing or removing the entire unit. The modules are designed to hold bags filled with microbial solutions and the system is Bluetooth enabled to allow remote monitoring.
John Williams, President and CEO stated “Our goal is to improve wastewater processing helping to improve discharge to our rivers and streams. Our new dosing system, the G3, is a step forward and a very important addition to In-Pipe’s tool box of capabilities.” Williams added: “with the G3’s sophisticated control and Bluetooth enabled monitoring, we can fine tune dosing to match changes in flows and conditions to optimize treatment.”
In-Pipe’s patented technology includes regularly adding a high concentration formulation of facultative, naturally-occurring, non-pathogenic bacteria to strategic locations throughout the sewer system in accordance with an engineered plan. This entails zero capital cost and no additional energy requirement. Performance in the collection system provides increased capacity within the plant, forestalls costly upgrades, and extends the life of the existing infrastructure.
In-Pipe Technology offers specialized technical expertise, strong customer understanding, and deep resource knowledge. Since In-Pipe uses natural, biological methods that complement a treatment plant’s own processes, In-Pipe is a sustainable solution − environmentally and economically.
