WHEATON, IL - In-Pipe Technology Company (In-Pipe) announced the appointment of John Williams as President and Chief Executive Officer. In-Pipe provides wastewater treatment services to municipalities and industries worldwide.


Mr. Williams comes to In-Pipe from the Layne Christensen Company, where, since 2005, he served as Vice President of Membrane Technology for the Water Resources division. John led the unit during a period of rapid growth as characterized by Layne's recognition as one of Fortune magazine's 100 fastest-growing companies. John's responsibilities at Layne included the formation of the Membrane Technology Group and the development of the water and wastewater business for Layne.


Prior to Layne, Mr. Williams led global sales at inge AG for PES ultrafiltration membranes in both industrial and municipal water treatment applications. During his tenure inge AG was acquired by Siemens Water Technologies. Mr. Williams brings both start-up and corporate experience to In-Pipe, and more than 28 years of water industry expertise in business development, strategic alliance formation, and international expansion.


Co-founder Daniel Williamson remains as In-Pipe's Chairman. Mr. Williamson recruited Mr. Williams for the position and announced the new appointment saying, "I am pleased that the Company has added John and his talent to our team. We look forward to John leading In-Pipe through a period of accelerated growth during which we expect to expand our US presence, expand into new markets, and form additional strategic alliances".
