WHEATON, IL (PRWEB) - In-Pipe Technology® Company, Inc. announced today the City of Spring Valley, IL awarded a contract for In-Pipe to provide professional, green sewage lagoon treatment services to optimize lagoon performance and efficiency by reducing lagoon sludge and the frequency of dredging events. The main objective of the project is to maximize bioremediation in the lagoon thereby reducing the amount of material that will have to be dredged, dewatered, and hauled away.

"We are pleased to be working with the Spring Valley Team. Everyone involved in the project is deeply committed to environmental stewardship,” said John Williams, President & CEO of In-Pipe Technology. ”We look forward to adding Spring Valley to the lagoon success stories In-Pipe has in Alaska, Florida, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and Utah."

In-Pipe Technology’s patented services greatly enhance the wastewater treatment process within lagoons through the continuous addition of a highly concentrated formulation of facultative bacteria, which are more robust and sustainable than indigenous wastewater bacteria. In-Pipe microbes can accelerate the treatment process under aerobic or anaerobic conditions. By significantly reducing accumulated sludge volumes up to 85%, In-Pipe Technology extends the intervals between dredging events. Additional benefits are seen in improved BNR, a significant reduction of odors and collection system degradation.

In-Pipe’s traditional lagoon service will be complimented with the addition of a low-energy mixer. This low-energy mixer will aid the In-Pipe microbes to reach the lower, compacted portions of the lagoon which will result in enhanced reduction of the organics remaining in the lagoon.

In-Pipe Technology offers specialized technical expertise, strong customer understanding, and deep resource knowledge. Since In-Pipe uses natural, biological methods that complement the treatment plant’s own processes, In-Pipe is a sustainable solution − environmentally and economically.
